I am a 19 years old girl. I am only 150 cm. I tried to dress several kinds of clothes, but look still very short. How to dress clothes to make me look higher? Thank you very much.

Taller? Doesn’t matter how you dress, as soon as you stand near another person other than a toddler, it is obvious you are short.

Not true! Obviously you’ll always be shorter, but a few things will help you seem taller. One is heels, but I’m sure you’ve already thought of that. Also wear skirts or dresses that fall slightly above your knee, anything longer weighs you down. Try wearing lighter colored fabrics too. But with your height you have to be careful not to look childish, so make sure your clothes and hair fit your age. Those are to top things I can think of

(though this is probably the wrong forum to be asking in)

Stand tall, good posture and attitude can go a long way in creating a perception of height

Thank you for your reply. It is useful for me.

I agree with coskat.

Posture and attitude will definitely help create a “bigger” persona.

I think that’s the most important thing.

Otherwise, I agree with dresses and skirts not being too long. Or jeans being too baggy. Etc.

And shoes…ah the shoes. Don’t wear sneakers with skirts or dresses, lord no (I do it, but it doesn’t make me look tall lol). Also even in jeans avoid clunky sneakers and go for nice flats or something if you don’t want to wear heels (who does).

Yay, great advice! Especially agreed on the dresses and skirts being above the knee; short people are lucky, we can wear mini skirts without looking too skanky.

Wear shoes that are open (for example, no straps that go across the tops of your feet) so that the eye is drawn upwards. Peep toe shoes also make you look taller!

Heels make you look taller and promote better posture. What could be better?

I also highly suggest jeans with a dark-wash. Also, don’t wear tunics or any long tops :]

Heels, my dear.
