<p>So, I’m trying to complete my IDOC for mailing but I have one problem: the 1099. I don’t know what I’m supposed to do with it. I’ve looked around the internet, and I’ve gather it’s a form used to report income that doesn’t have to do with official employment. I received $3000 from an arts competition so is that why I have to fill it out? Please help. I’m trying to get this done ASAP.</p>
<p>You don’t complete a 1099. The business or organization that gave you the money may have sent you one. Sometimes they don’t. In that case, pick up the phone, call the college that is asking for the IDOC and ask very specifically how it is that they want you to document this money.</p>
