All the best advices I received about college came from mothers on this forum. The counselors at my former high school and my current adviser are really only familiar with the course selection process and helping the idiots to not screw up.

Their perspective about getting into top ranked colleges, scholarships, cost/tuition were COMPLETELY screwed up, which screwed me as well (I should’ve know better though).

Right now, I really need scholarships. I’m already a freshmen and an international student (soon to be f-1 status if that means anything to you), which means getting a satisfying scholarship is very very hard. If I have any chance, I’m going to need someone who thoroughly knows about scholarships in the engineering department at my school – Iowa state University. I’m done wasting my precious time reading “us citizens only” or “must have FAFSA” BullS on scholarship websites. If there’s a backdoor to this, it’s not coming from fastweb or any other websites.

ok maybe I lied a little. fastweb might have some scholarships, but 99% of them that fit my profile won’t fit my profile, so applying to them is big waste of time.
