How to get a wii?

spaz,
I would personally go to your closest Target/Best Buy, etc and ask someone who works in the electronics department when their shipments come in. The people that work the front desk are probably irked by the frequent phone calls asking the same question and probably DON"T know the schedule for electronic deliveries.

Just bought a Wii this morning at sears.com at list price. Thank you, wiitracker.com! Bonus - the shipping is only $5.95.

All you need is connections. My neighbor works in electronics at Wal-Mart, so he called one day when they got a shipment in and saved it for me.

Just bought a new wii from Blockbuster. They got ten in today and had one left when we just happened in to get movies.

Ditto the connections.

I got my Wii last Christmas (when it first came out). You have no idea what I had to go through in order to get my Wii. I did all sorts of things, drove around all over the city+suburbs, used itrackr, called 230489092834 stores, all sorts of absurdity to spend money. It took a lot more sweat and determination than I anticipated. All for a stupid video system that I now do not use that much anymore.

I got lucky because someone posted an Craiglist ad (probably a store manager or employee) at 3am saying that Wii’s would be in stock at a certain Target an hour away the next morning. Well, I was crazy enough to drive to that certain Target, wait in front of it before the store opened, AND OH MY GOD WII’s WERE IN STOCK.

It was a joyous morning.

I offer you this advice: Don’t bother calling stores, the people on the line do not give a rat’s ass, they probably get the same calls everyday, and probably won’t check whether the Wii’s are in stock or not because Wii’s are out of stock most of the time anyway.

Scour itrackr.com, and maybe Craigslist and you might get lucky like me.

Also, don’t be embarrassed of entering a Target the moment it opens.

I finally got a wii after searching the stores in my city for three months. I stood in lines for hours and made many phone calls to most of the stores without any luck. I decided to continue my wii search on line and ended up on a wii tracker web site. Their it was, the flashing in stock sign that stated amazon had the wii in stock for its retail price of $250.00.I highly recommend these wii tracker sites if you are trying to find a wii.

Happy birthday, durme10! I’m a bit suspicious of posters who recommend a site and never post anything college-related. Just wanted to let you know.

This was previously discussed at length a month or so ago-- read this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/parent-cafe/427820-wii.html
