How to get accepted into Tisch?

Hi everyone(:
my name is Melina, I’m a sophomore, 15 years old and it has been my dream since I was young to become a film actress.
I understand that this is difficult, one of the most difficult jobs to pursue, but I am incredibly passionate about it and i KNOW i will not be happy with any other job.
“do something you love and you will never work a day in your life”

So here are my obstacles, my family is not rich and although they are verbally supportive they are not supportive with their actions; as in, they dont really look for acting schools or want to drive me anywhere and i am not allowed to get rides from friends or take the city bus (ill be getting my license summer 2011)

The other obstacles is my packed schedule, this year I have two AP classes then two honors classes and National Art Honor Society (maybe even Key Club)

& The last obstacle, there are very few good theaters in my area. The closest one which is also a good acting school is in Ft. Lauderdale, and thats still almost 30 minutes away.

Now, I did attend a performing arts elementary school for 2-3 years and did many plays at the time.
then for middle school i basically only focused a bit on acting since i went to a school that was far away and had virtually no drama programs whatsoever.
However, I did audition for Barbizon and got chosen as an example (i thought that was cool, getting picked out of 60+ girls)
& now, im willing to do ANYTHING in my limits to get accepted to a top quality university/college for acting.
i dont want to be famous, im doing this for my love of films and the entertainment industry.

So, can someone please tell me what I can start doing in order to be accepted into Tisch (or any prestigious acting university in the world?)

Thank you all for any answers :)

pleaseeeeeeeeee

hello, I am actually on the plane to NYU as I am writing this, I am a Tisch Drama Major Class of 2014. I didn’t have hardly any theatre experience, but I believe what counted was the training I received- it showed that even though there were few opportunities in my area, I still had the passion to continue learning new techniques under different teachers. I don’t believe that grades in the non-humanities matter much I.E. math Science etc.
Definitely focus a lot of attention into your monologues and your interview- the movement portion is simple. Also, be different-stand apart from the crowd, bring something new to the table. Best of Luck!
