I am currently taking normal level high school physics and will be taking the test in June. What do i need to prepare? I am not very good in physics.

if you’re not good at physics, why the heck are you taking the exam?!?!

seriously, take a subject that you’re good at and Ace it. good luck.

if ur currently taking a normal high skool physics class, u probably learned about 25% of wuts on the test. It’s better if u take it after u had atleast a year of physics

honestly, the only way to get a 800 on physics is to get a raw score of 65. believe me then you can get your elusive 800!!! lol

i suggest you not to take the test unless you’re good enough to break a 700. but don’t let this discourage you. i mean, why don’t you take a practice test (of course the test from CB) and check yourself??? If you could hit a 700, then go for it, I should say.

With that attitude, don’t even bother taking the exam.

its the only thing i can take. I need two SAT II’s… im doing math. and physics because its the closest to maths. and ill be taking the test at the end of the year so ill be done with high school physics.

oh, I didn’t know you have got so much time. So, then, all I say is GO FOR IT!!!

get a prep book though. One year of high school physics doesnt cover everything on the test. I suggest princeton review’s physics book

i want a 760+ so do u think princeton will be enough?

Study your textbook and study w/ PR.

If you actually study you should do great…

Once you are done with PR book, you could advance to Barron’s which is slightly harder than the actual test. It will overprepare you and it’s good. Then before just taking the real test, find some official tests from CB and build up your confidence. I’m sure it will seem so easy, since you’ll have covered Barron’s then.

IMO you have more than enough time. If you have strong desire to get 800 and commitment to do - nothing can stop you (did I say any thing new?).

I have been telling my daughter the same thing…and I think she will do good. she did good in SAT-II Math. She is taking Chemistry in Dec and then will take Phy some time next year.

I have been telling her - first finish College Board book, complete. Then do Barron, then Princeton. Also look at some online (Sparknotes). Then create own test papers - by selecting random question numbers from different tests and do it again.

Only three things - Practice, Practice, and? You know the third one!

You guys can certainly do! Go for it!

thanks everyone.
