Wondering the best way to get from Japan to China: 1.Go to Google maps. 2. Go to Get Directions. 3. Type Japan as the start location. 4. Type China as the end location. 5. Go to direction #43. 6. laugh.

That is good :)

Yeah - it’s making it’s way around Facebook. Put in a town on the West Coast (say Portland OR) and Hawaii. It’s also worth a chuckle.

^^^yes, facebook is where I saw it.

I saw this on FB yesterday. Very funny!

There was a time when they recommended that you swim across the Atlantic Ocean to get to Europe.

That’s wonderful. I just tried New York City to Honolulu. (# 30 is the one.)

Gotta love the folks at Google! :)

Too funny! As I was reading it and began to laugh, H asked me what was so funny. I showed it to him, then did the NYC to Honolulu one, too. First he asked me why I was looking up how to get from Japan to China. I told him I’d heard about it from some ‘friends’.

He was quiet for a few minutes, then all of a sudden says, “Your friends have way too much time on their hands if they’re looking up how to get from Japan to China on Google Maps.”

I then explained is was part of a phenomena that was going around on facebook, too. He seemed a bit relieved that people weren’t just sitting around, googling maps, looking for ones that didn’t make sense.

Maybe the Japanese were developing an early version of google maps - and that’s really how their navy ended up in Hawaii.
