<p>Here are some options for finding a lawyer:</p>
<ol>
<li><p>Contact the local bar association and ask if they have a referal program. If yes then get at least the names of 3 lawyers and talk to each of them selecting the one that you think will be the best help.</p></li>
<li><p>Some state bar associations have referral programs. Contact the state bar association and has them for some referals. Again get a few names. </p></li>
<li><p>Depending on where you son attends college; some colleges have law schools and the law school may have a “legal clinic”. Ask if they do and if they provide any representation to students for a dui. Also ask if they have a referral program or alumni local network listing. If all else fails call the criminal law professor and get names from the prof. </p></li>
</ol>
<p>Be prepared that representation will not be cheap. In addition there are usually fines and other court costs. </p>
<p>If you will feel more comfortable you can pm. your location. My DH is a judge and I am a lawyer (although I have not practiced in 7 years.) We may know someone in the area. </p>

Call a lawyer locally and ask if they know how to contact someone for you.</p>
