I’m an incoming freshman. I just got into Brody and I have heards from 2 peers and even an MSU housing representative that “Brody” can get pretty noisy. I am concerned as I do not plan to be a heavy “party-er”. I would like to know how it would be possible to get to a more quiet place with Biology majors so I will have people I know and that are in my classes.I applied for Lyman Briggs so because I like the small knit community with many people interested in Biology as their major. If I get off the wait list there I will be transferred to Holmes Halls which would be ideal but if not what other things could I do to switch out of Brody. I already know about getting a roommate willing to take me in another hall.

Brody is really not all that bad…yes it is louder than the average hall but there are tons of places on campus that you can go to study that are significantly quieter.
If you really must get out of brody, lyman briggs is your best hope. You will likely be able to get off the waitlist because there are tons of kids switching in and out of lyman briggs before school starts. If you are still on the waitlist after your AOP/during fall welcome you should talk to an advisor and be extremely persistent about getting into lyman briggs. They can and will make it happen.
