Without going into too much detail, I will be transferring to a four year university from a community college in the fall of this year at the age of 21 and I will be commuting there (about 30 mins.) I am usually shy, But I now I really want to get myself out there and possibly join a social organization, but I am worried I won’t have time with commuting. Any thoughts or ideas?

Join the commuting club. There will be people like yourself to meet. Usually they have a commuter’s lounge where you can also meet people/hang between classes.

Also, what does the “college experience” mean to you?
“the college experience” means making it a social experience, having fun, and meeting people that will potentially be connections for jobs.
