Thank you for posting this! I have sent it on to my H who will be addressing their incoming freshman class next week.
It would have been better if Bruni also included suggestions for those he notes as being under pressure and constraints of cost and concurrent work and family obligations, rather than just those who have the relative luxury of not being under such pressure.
^ I suppose someone with more experience with that could write that column. He’s very clear about his “dataset”.
And this is important info for students imo:
Sleep, exercise, eat, socialize. Be open and flexible, especially to major, try different things. All seem obvious but probably aren’t, to most students.
