What is the best and cheapest way for my DD to get to the Hamilton college campus from the Syracuse airport? Renting a car is not an option for her.

I sent you a PM; hope that helps.

SFmom, it’s a poke. Maybe there is a bus to Utica . After you get there it’s just a blink. She could maybe taxi from there. If it’s for a visit I’d call admissions directly. They are great folks.

If she is visiting as an admitted student, I would definitely call admissions to see if they can offer some advice or help. Having personal experience getting a student from another local college back and forth to Syracuse, I’d bet that taxi type services are more than likely available as there is definitely a demand. Hamilton College probably has a list somewhere on their web site.

If she’s a solo, though, it will probably be a tad bit pricey. Catching a bus to Utica first would probably reduce the cost, but it will more than likely make an already long day (if she is coming from San Francisco) quite a bit longer.

My nieces attended Colgate from the Seattle area- Im sure there is some sort of bulletin board ride share system.
Have you tried livejournal?

The Hamilton website shows this message –

The airport in Syracuse is about one hour from the Hamilton campus by car, and with advance notice of arrival plans, the Dean of Students office can make arrangements for students to be picked up at the airport and transported to the campus on the designated arrival dates.
