I am going to put in a plug for digital mammography read by dedicated breast radiologists. If you live anywhere near somewhere to get this service please have your mammos done there. I live in a fairly large city but had my mammos done at the clinic where I see my FP for convenience. The year my cancer was found, they called to see if I wanted to go to their new imaging center. My mammo was abnormal, had an ultrasound that day and biopsy in two days. In my learning process, I discovered they probably missed my cancer the year before because of the quality of the films. Also learned that all radiologists are not created equal…

^^^^what she said is the total truth. I am lucky, I live in a metropolitan area with a number of excellent facilities. I never leave the building without a reading by the radiologist. And then, my oncologist does another look see.

i thought this thread was long gone, how is everyone. Ellebud I miss you!. I am done with treatment except tamoxifen, came out of it 80 pounds thinner, with dark curly hair used to blond and straight. am slowly recovering from being the worse patient he has had in 2 years. please ladies start to take care of yourselves, this is my second time and I regret not doing that. now i do, because I have to. but feel better for it.

DTE, all the best to you and your family. THANK YOU for reminding me to schedule my annual mammo visit!!!
