My D did her SRAR and did not report SAT scores because she applied test optional.
Recently, she took the SAT and will now submit her application to a Florida state school that requires them. She had been holding off from applying to any Florida state schools because they require SAT scores.
However, the Florida college she is now applying to requires her to input her SAT score on the SRAR. Will her test-optional schools be able to see her score now, even though she applied test optional?
The test optional schools I’m most familiar with automatically block out the scores if an applicant indicates they don’t want them considered. I can’t guarantee that’s the case with all schools this year because some of them may not have had a test-optional option until this Covid-impacted year. I also don’t have experience with the SRAR specifically, so take my information with a grain of salt.
That’s a good question, and I don’t know the answer. I expect it could also vary by school…some may block SRAR score field for TO applicants, while others don’t. Only way to know for sure would be to ask admissions at the schools you are concerned about.
I am pretty sure as long as the application has already been submitted, anything inputted into the Common App after that cannot be seen. You could input it into the common app just for this florida school and then remove it before submitting anything else.
