How to identify fraud reviews on Amazon.

I know people have been skeptical as to the reviews from Dr Chung or any other review book with high ratings.

On Amazon reviews, each reviewer has a status on them. Those who BOUGHT the item and review it have their own “Amazon Verified Purchase”

Meaning they bought the book and THEN reviewed it.

So if they have that tag, the review is most likely legitimate.

About 50-60% of the reviews on Dr Chung on Amazon however is actually legitimate according to my philosophy. Since 50-60% actually bought the book and then reviewed. However this means that they have bought it from Amazon. Doesn’t mean they don’t have it. However, why would anyone want to review it on Amazon if they haven’t bought it from Amazon, unless they want to advertise?

NOT to say that some of the non-certified ones are frauds or anything. But those certified are more likely to be truthful.

Thanks, this is an extremely helpful tip. And yeah, I’ve found that particularly in the area of SAT prep, some authors find it beneficial to give their products positive feedback precisely as a form of direct advertising.
