is it true that if u read a LOT* like 2-3 hours a day… basically novels, your scores will improve??? if thats so, im gonna start doing that??? is it?

It really works if u have been reading all your life a lot. Starting to read novels now to do good on the may test will not help you as much as taking practice tests would. If you did 2-3 hours of practice a day your score would improve 100+ points.

I’m not so sure that’s true…I read like 4 novels a month, and I did poorly on my Critical reading :(

no, its all about your English ability. If your vocabulary, grammar skills, and your critical thinking skills are strong, you should get 700+

I agree with gigante. But don’t just start reading novels to improve your critical reading score. My suggestion would be to just take as many practice tests as possible and get used to the questions that will appear on the SAT. Reading novels each day a month before the test really won’t have a significant impact on your scores, it might just stress you out.

FAKEOUT

People who read a lot are most often quick and concentrated readers, two things that will greatly help you on your critical reading, but reading novels will not make you good, you must possess those two skills. I hope this king of clarifies the subject.
