How to improve my 2220 Superscore to 2400?

Hello,

I’m currently a high school senior in an American school in KSA. I’ve taken the SAT three times in my life:

The first was in the first half of tenth grade, when I studied the Barron’s SAT Prep book and I managed to net myself 680 CR, 660 M, and 660 W, for a total of 2000 (in response to challenge from a teacher of mine who told me that if I got 2000 on the SAT, that they “would build me a statue”, as I was known as the class smart-ass of sorts.)

My second SAT was taken in the second half of tenth grade. I studied the Blue Book, and to great joy, managed a 770 CR, 710 M, and 680 W, for a total of 2160, my highest score in a single sitting so far.

Between 10th and 11th grade, I switched to schools to the one I’m in now, where I went through my the Princeton Review SAT prep book and took my 3rd SAT in the first semester of 11th grade, netting a 690 CR, 710 M, and 740 W score, for a total of 2140. This left me with a superscore of 2220, with with I was elated.

At some point however, I made the decision to take one more SAT. Just one. I had a desire to prove to myself that I could make the 2400. So here I am, currently signed up for the October 11th test, and looking for every way possible to improve my score, even if not achieve perfection. Given all the information at hand, what would you recommend I do in the 3 weeks remaining?

I’m taking it my 3rd time with the aim to hit a 1300, hopefully fingers crossed 1400 CR + M score. Use your local library and look at your score reports. Use books from the library to help improve those areas. For me, that’s passage reading. I’m at a total of 1930 with a 1290 CR + M. Not as high as you but eh. Use that Princeton Review again. Seriously.

If there was a majic formula to get a 2400, don’t you think everybody would get it? Given the scores you have already got, it is not likely you will get a 2400. The downside of taking it again is the schools that make you send all test scores…taking it multiple times does not look good.

I think you’d be a lot better off reading xiggi’s thread and silverturtle’s thread than taking the incorrect or defeatist advice offered above

Gem: I don’t think I HAVE a local library in the first place :stuck_out_tongue: Thanks though.

GA: Most schools don’t force you to give in all scores, and significant score improvements do happen.

CHD: Thanks for the tip. I’ve already read Silverturtle’s thread and found it useful for practice. As for Xiggi’s, do you know where I can find a non-condensed version, or is the condensed one fine?

Thanks everyone :D
