How to improve sat from 2000-2100 to 2200+?

I’ve taken numerous practice SAT tests and i’ve always scored in the high 2000’s - low 2100’s every time. But on the January SAT, I scored a 1970 - 620 writing/8 essay, 660 math, 690 critical reading. Although I think my writing is a fluke because I usually score 730-740 and I had a cold.

Anyways, I find it difficult to prep because my scores are all similar. I have prepped with the blue book since October and I have had a private tutor since December.

When I practice without time constraints in the blue book, I find that I get a significantly higher number of questions right, which gives my SAT tutor a false sense of my skill level. I noticed that I make a lot of stupid mistakes on the timed practice tests, especially the Math even though I am an A+ math student.

How can I improve a score around 2100 to 2200+ and get out of the 680-700 range for each section?

Make it a goal to learn as many math strategies as you can; these will help you finish with a couple of minutes to spare. You are making 1-2 errors per math section every time. In that extra time, go back to the mediums and hards and find your errors. You could approach them a different way or test more answers- whatever it takes to reveal the mistakes. Tell yourself that you are not done until you find at least 1 error per section.
