How to Improve SATs by March

I took the November SAT Reasoning test and my scores were:
Math:630
Critical Reading: 590
Writing: 650
Composite: 1870
How can I improve my scores so that they are in the 700 range (approximately 2200 composite). This was my first attempt and I am a junior. Also, what is the SAT score range for Boston University and University of Texas at Austin.
Thanks!

Go to the threads at the beginning that say IMPORTANT, peruse through them, and do a llttle research of your own. Lots of good info/advice there. No one on here is going to give you a detailed, individualized plan on how to improve your scores.

My advice is to find some of your own basic strategies to approaching the CR that work for you, hit the vocab books, find out what question types you’re missing, thoroughly review, and solve as many REAL TESTS as possible. That would include the Blue Book with about 10 real tests and QA released tests that include about another 20 or so. (AND PLEASE DON’T PM ME ASKING FOR ANY QA OR OTHER RELEASED TESTS).

Same applies to the writing section. Recognize what grammatical error types they’re testing you on, find a thread on here that teaches you how to write a formulaic essay, and PRACTICE with REAL TESTS.

Increasing your scores significantly comes down to either PURE SKILLS or BRUTAL PRACTICE/REVIEW.

All these GUARANTEED strategies can only help you so much; nothing can ever replace pure genuine hard work. And even with effort, sometimes you either got it or you don’t.

Good luck.
