<p>I am writing on behalf of Blank Blankish, whom I have had the pleasure of teaching in my Chemistry Honors class and in the accompanying lab portion. For the last three years, I have watched Blank develop both academically and personally into a mature individual one who is clearly ready in every way for her college years.</p>
<p>Blank is blessed with considerable talent in science. In my Chemistry Honors class, she has demonstrated the ability to take the learned information and apply it to a scientific problem in an insightful way. Generally, my students seem to believe that Chemistry problems do not deserve too much effort and develop the attitude that arriving at the answer is more important than understanding the process of solution. Blank, however, barely ever opened her periodic table to look at the formulas provided. She was not interested in the solution itself, but more so in the analysis leading to the solution. </p>
<p>Once, I was especially impressed when she drew a page-sized graph of an elements transformation, instead of limiting herself to the formula that required simply plugging in the two variables. She also commented saying that such approach trains strategic thinking and constructs knowledge in the mind of the learner." Her unique solution inspired other students to borrow her creativity. Nevertheless, no one has ever overcome Blanks innate abilities, ranking her at the very top of my class. I assure you that Blank will have the same positive effects on her college peers, sharing with them her valuable skills. </p>
<p>In addition, Blank possesses great communication skills. I often observe her in the science office as she carefully plans out the weekly agendas for her clubs. I heard students and faculty comment on how lively the discussions she leads are. Her psychology club even appears to be a real college course as she brings up a lot of information learned at the summer session at Brown University and through her reading. Also, her genuinely pleasant attitude is contagious everyone seems to just stand by and talk to her, as she shares her good sense of humor and radiates with optimism. Her cheerfulness, among all other qualities, is actually the one that I would like to emphasize. This quality allows me to envision her as a psychology major.</p>
<p>Blank leads a balanced life, not letting academics to take over her life completely, yet achieves perfection at everything she does. I had her in my Chemistry class early in the morning, where she always actively participated, and still saw her energetically head to the tennis courts in the afternoon. Her harmonious lifestyle is practically unfathomable given her tough family circumstances and recent immigrant status. Yet she motivates herself for a brighter future, which she is sure to achieve. </p>
<p>Without hesitation, I admit that Blank has always been the best student I have ever taught during my long teaching experience at James Madison High School. Blank deserves every bit of her success, because she built it with her bare hands while overcoming personal problems. I strongly recommend her to the program.</p>
