I’m a junior and I took the SAT online for practice for the local program here in Texas. I scored a 1300…It says I omitted 8 questions on the grid part (only because I typed it in instead of clicking on the grid part). I’m really disappointed in myself…Notre Dame is my top choice…help me?

It’s kind of hard to gauge how well you are going to do from practice tests that aren’t released directly from collegeboard (aka the blue book). So definitely don’t stress too much at all. And if you omitted 8 questions that likeee about 120-150 points off right there. Even the PSAT isn’t a good measure I don’t think personally. For example, I got an 1850 on the PSAT…ouch. But when I took the actual SAT a few months later I got in the 2100s and then I actually decided to study so we’ll see what I get on the one I took today! Anyway, for studying what I would recommend is just buying a study book and going from there. If you can afford it, buy multiple kinds. You really don’t need a tutor in my opinion. Just take as many practice tests as possible. Buy the blue book, and then buy a specialty book for whatever is your worst section. For example, Math is my worst, so I got the PWN the SAT math book and Dr. Chung’s 50 tips book, which are both really great. I would recommend being aware of the fact that you will probably need to take the test multiple times and utilizing your time accordingly. the Study books often have good study plans you can follow. Read amazon reviews to help you make your selection. Good Luck :)
