How to include credits completed from IB classes in a transfer application?

Hi, I am an undergraduate student from Boston University looking to transfer using the Common App. However, I don’t know how to include the credits that I have completed from my IB classes that I did during high school. There was an option on Common App to identify the classes that were completed from IB/AP, however, these classes were not included in my transcript since I technically didn’t take these classes in the semesters I have attended. In my official transcript, there is a section where it lists all the classes that I have already completed through IB credits on the bottom of the page. Now the question is, how would I include this in the Common App?

IB and AP classes are high school courses. If your high school transcript is required for your transfer applications, those classes will show up along with your regular high school classes. Any credits that BU awarded you for IB exam results is already recorded as such on your BU transcript.

However, you should pay attention to the individual policies of each of the places on your application list as to credit for IB results. It is entirely possible that BU awarded you credit for some that won’t be awarded credit at a target institution. Contact the transfer admissions offices of your target institutions, and ask them what they will need you to do to provide them with your IB results.

You don’t. Any credit that the new school gives will be based upon the IB score report that you send. What credit BU gave you is irrelevant; BU may have given credit that the new school will not and vice versa.
