So here is my financial aid. This is the first package I got. I applied for need base and my efc is 0. If I read this correct does that mean that I will need to pay $6500 dollars plus a 2000 work study…thats a total of $8500. That is a lot. My parents make about $15000 a year. No kidding. They didn’t plan on me going to college so they didn’t save any money. Also, can I appeal it? How do I do that.

bump! mine says the same thing!

Work study is not a cost; you work on campus/off campus a couple hours a week.

You will pay Cost of Attendance - 42,709.00 (including 6500 loan) = Final Cost + 6500 loan.

Imo, if your EFC is 0 and your combined family income is $15000, contact the financial aid office. You deserve a better aid package.
