<p>Politician: We need policy X in order to achieve Outcome Y.</p>

<p>Mr. Politician, can you demonstrate that policy X is the BEST policy to achieve outcome Y? Have you not considered other policies? Including, perhaps, the policies of the opposing party? And are you aware of potential unintended consequences of policy X? Are you sure that policy X would even be implemented properly and in the right way? (or that it could instead get into bureaucratic red tape?)</p>

<p>oh and cite research plz. and give a good case for if that research can apply to a totally different environment than the environment that the research was conducted</p>

prohibition
iraq war
gun control (maybe)
environmental policy
kyoto protocol (only france and germany are fulfilling their quotas)</p>

<p>Could, would, should work, but, as in movies, people are too stupid and afraid to question their leaders, especially in a vocal manner.</p>
