Can someone recommend comprehensive websites for American students in London? I’ll be at Goldsmiths, but I would appreciate any information about the UK, especially how to survive with this terrible exchange rate. Also, if anyone has any personal tips that might not be written up (cheap places to eat, shop, drink, etc), I’d love to hear them.

Thanks!

I don’t know about web-sites specifically for Americans, but the British Council USA is a good place to start.

They have some blogs written by US students studying in the UK which might interest you.

Don’t eat out, just buy food from supermarkets and cook. Shop only at Primark. Walk everywhere (really easy in London). Get as many student discounts as you can. But basically it’s expensive and there’s no getting away from that.
