Woo!! AOH is not halfway through its first day and I’ve had an opportunity to actually meet some of the CC posters. It’s been crazy exciting and a lot of fun!

I’d love to say hello (in person) to any CC posters that might be on campus. If you spot me (my name is Dan, and I have a name tag that says my name is Dan) come introduce yourself and make CC a little less anonymous. Admissions is about people (not stats!), and this is a way to remember that. This goes double for anyone from Maryland, Monmouth County NJ, Southern NJ, Fairfield County CT, Idaho, Wyoming, or Montana!

Aside: I am not a morning person, and so conversations before 9:30am will not be representative of my full spectrum of enthusiasm.

I was there the 17th-18th and it was awesome!
Too bad I didn’t see this earlier, but I did want to say thank you for all of your help through this year (even if I wasn’t always posting, I was usually reading, and having you here to answer those questions was a really big help!!)

I forgot to fill out that survey before I left, which I’m pretty sad about because I wanted to enter to win a free sweatshirt (hehe) but if I had a suggestion, it would definitely be to start the open house a little later… I know it was really difficult for me and the other prefrosh I was staying over with to get out of bed (or off of the floor) to run over to register on the opposite side of campus with our luggage. Other than that, I found it really helpful and well organized. I especially like the tote bag and the fact that we were provided with our host’s info beforehand. The lectures in the morning were also really good!

Anyway, I went to be certain on my decision to go to Tufts, and now I am! So WOOOO for that :D

fishie11, you think that was bad?! We left from NY at 2:30am to make the 7:30 start =D But I had a great experience overall, and loved the atmosphere of Tufts!

The open house was great. Tufts seems perfect…the only thing that threw me off though was the lack of students on campus. I think I saw a total of 5 students sitting on the grass the entire day, and 2 student groups. I was wondering, where have all the students gone? The weather was nice so I was expecting to see more students out and about. I imagine the campus would be REEEEAALLLY quiet without us prospies. The library was fairy deserted as well…

When the heck were you there?!?! By the afternoon, all of the grassy areas of campus were crowded, and this has been the trend ever since the weather got nice. If you were walking around at 7 am, keep in mind that college students keep different hours. We’re not gonna be in the mood to chill and play on the grass until at least 3, pretty much.
And try going to the library on a Sunday night if you want to see the campus studying.

I went yesterday (met Dan)! and there were people everywhere in the campus. The flowers from the white tree near Bendetson were blowing everywhere in the wind, which was really beautiful and gave me an awesome feeling.

I loved basically everything about yesterday…from the people I met from all over the U.S. (even Puerto Rico!) to the food, to the Neurology class (the professor was awesome). We later went to Boston, chilled and watched a movie. I seriously can’t wait for the last week of August to come…
