<p>How do I have my prospective schools open a ‘file’ for me? I’m not quite sure when I’ll be submitting (doing) my supplements, but I want to start sending in stuff like my SATs (i.e. free score report and an additional letter of rec from my boss (has to be physically mailed). </p>
<p>I’m just worried I’ll send my stuff in and because I’m technically not ‘registered’ or whatever it’ll all be unaccounted for… or maybe I’m mistaken?</p>
<p>As soon as anything arrives in their office the admissions staff will open a file for you, but if I were you I’d fill out an interest form/registration/info. request. That way they’ll have all your information and it will be less likely that your information will get mixed in with that of another applicant with a similar name. You should be able to do it through the schools’ websites.</p>
<p>Schools are used to receiving test scores before applications so they must open some type of file before the actual application comes. When you do actually apply, then they will give you some way to access your file and you will be able to check that your scores are checked off as being received.</p>
<p>That is a good idea Sue22. Some schools will also let you open a file on line as a way to request interest information.</p>
