I am planning to get the $1700 (1850 points) gold plan.

The website states students will be billed on the first installment for $425, then another $425 on Nov 15, $425 on Feb 15, and $425 on April 15.

Does this mean that I would have only $425 worth of points (+bonus) between the beginning of the semester and November 15? What happens if I run out during that time? Do I need to wait till the next time I pay, because they would suspend my meal plan?

How are students charged? I believe I would be billed at my CARS, so would I see a charge on my e-bill?

Can I pay for the meal plan all at once? I didn’t see that option when applying online (I went all the way to the terms and conditions page.)

I’m not sure whether the points are apportioned in installments, but I’d also like to know. I just purchased a Blue Plan, and it says that everything will go through CARS.

It seems you get all the semester points at once.

But I would like to pay in a lump payment instead of installments. I was told I would have to go the Billing and Payment Services for this. Anybody with experience on this?

But I don’t know how they will configure a one-payment instead of installments on my e-bill. Would Billing and Payment Services provide this?

I don’t think there is an online feature that allows for students to this. (I tried to order a meal plan last night. The terms and conditions page said that I would be able to pay in installments or lump sum. But there was no option to choose).

Also, does anyone know what is the free gift when you bring your application confirmation page to the Housing Cashiers?

The total amount goes on to your bill. When the billing come out, you are only obligated to pay the installments. If you want to pay the full amount, pay it in full on the first month.
