I have a journal with a leather cover that I got for a present. I forgot to get it personalized when I got it. It’s a little late to return and get it personalized. I am looking for a way to get it done locally. Laser engraving and patching it over with color is available but I am not sure how it will turn out. Another possibility is if I get a heat embosser and try on my own. Has anyone tried or have a better idea?
A shoe repair place of leatherwork a place might have great ideas and be able to do something nice inexpensively. I’d be hesitant to do something on my own, since I don’t have experience in working with leather.
Do you have a store that sells religious goods nearby? We have a store that sells bibles and has the tools to personalize the leather covers. I took in an old family bible that was a gift from my grandmother to my oldest and had them personalize it. It was inexpensive and they did it in the shop.
Thank you. I would have never thought of that. Yes, we have religeous stores nearby. I’ll call them tomorrow.
