I’ve taken these tests in June and got 740 on both Chem and USH (76th and 87th percentile, respectively). For Chem, I’ve taken CB’s released practice test and Princeton Review’s tests. For USH I have also taken CB’s released test and Kaplan’s tests.

Considering the horrible percentiles, especially or Chem, I will most likely retake them (In Nov). How can I prep for these tests again?

Those are respectable scores, and you should only retake them if you really want to get into an Ivy. The percentiles are horrible because only the best of the best (AP students and others who want to apply to top tier colleges) take subject tests.

Though I’m not applying to any Top 10 schools, I am applying to very selective schools. Whether I retake them or not is not a question since I have already decided. I want to know what is the best way to re-prep.

Are you a sophomore? If so, you’ve had chem and APUSH classes already? or did you self study both?

From what I hear, AMSCO and crash course are really good for APUSH.

I’m a rising Senior.

I heard PR is the best for SAT II USH. For me, Barron’s and PR worked really well for chem. Then again, the AP class probably would have sufficed.

I also retook Chemistry, and went from a 770 or a 780 (I honestly don’t remember, sorry) to an 800. To do this I read through Barron’s prep book and took all the practice tests. Keep in mind that I also went through AP Chem, though this was before the first take too. I never took the US history exam, though–kudos for that score; while you might not be satisfied with it, it’s way better than I could ever get. Good luck!
