How to prepare for ACT in summer (incoming senior) when I know pretty much know only SAT?

I’ve decided to take a late turn to the ACT because I feel its Math section is much easier to me than SAT and I’ve gotten lots of advice to take ACT over SAT. But which sections are deemed more difficult than others? I’m particularly concerned about the reading section (sub 700 on SAT CR) and science, though science is not that bad for me. Is there a certain way to prep for the ACT within 3 months (I’m taking September and/or October) and achieve a 32+ and which books are best for test prep? I’m looking at getting both the Red Book and the Barron’s 36 book (barrons for techniques, red book for mainly testing on the real thing).

Thanks everyone!

Your answer can be found in the wise words of Allen iverson “Practice”. Reading and science require speed reading and test taking techniques. (I could tell you some if u want) I think the ACT english is easier than the SAT english and the ACT math is more straight forward than SAT but ACT math requires you to learn some new things too.

@2016senior I’ve tried most of the practice math questions on the ACT website and I’ve gotten consistent minus 1-3, I’m getting a prep book soon so I’ll practice reading there

@JaeHwanLoL Use Barrons to “overprep” for the Math section in case some crazy ass question comes at the very end. Make sure to do the first 40 or so very quickly but precisely, the last few should take quite a while per question more than the first few.
