How to prepare for CPA with BS Economics?

<p>I feel like a lot of the CPA preparation companies like Becker Fast Pass don’t really help prepare non-accounting majors for the CPA. I want to get a MS in Accounting, but might not get in with a 3.0 GPA. I took Financial and Managerial Accounting, but not Intermediate Accounting or Auditing.</p>

<p>I live in Michigan and need 24 hours in Accounting. I only have 6 hours. But I think I will will fulfill 24 hours in business related with my business cognate and degree.</p>

<p>Could I fulfill my requirements at CC or Walsh College for accounting? Does it have to be at a accredited business school?</p>

<p>If you cannot get into a decent MS program, you should go back to the school you graduated from and apply there for a double major, if they offer it, or apply as a non degree student and pick up those accounting hours there. DO NOT GO TO A COMMUNITY COLLEGE! By the way, it is better if the program is AACSB accredited because those classes will be recognized anywhere in the country.</p>
