How to prepare for the ACT math?

<p>Ok to start off, Im currently a sophomore that will be taking the act next fall during my junior year. I was wondering which prep book(besides the red book) will help me prepare for the math section. I struggle a lot on algebra and geometry so which book is the best for the math section?</p>

<p>Practice over and over. You’ll need some pre-calculus so I wouldn’t take the ACT in the fall. Wait until you get some junior year math under your belt. Maybe try the January test. </p>

are majority of the questions plug and chug?

@joe574, some are, but most require some amount of problem solving skill. A test that is mostly mindless plug and chug is pretty poor, IMO.
