How to proceed after student writes first draft of essay and UC PIQs?

My kid is on the ball! So proud of them. They’ve a good first draft of their college essay and UC PIQs. But since none of my family went to school in the USA, we can’t provide any feedback if the essays are too clique, hit important points etc!

Their next steps is as follows. Is this the best idea or is their a better one?
“Can anyone recommend a service, from experienced people who have read essays before, that can read over my essay and PIQ? I am not looking for grammatical issues, rather someone with experience to provide guidance if the essays/PIQ serve their purpose. Someone who has read college applications would be ideal.”
