How to pronounce usernames

How does everyone pronounce their username? If it is not obvious, what does it mean? I’m sure this has been done before, but I’m dying to know some of these! Mine is pretty obvious, but if you don’t know, my first name starts with “Em” and I swim competitively.

-Please! I need something to keep me occupied until SAT’s come in! :)

I think the pronunciation is pretty obvious, but I’ll share anyway, Jesse-t-fan. It comes from the fact that I had a huge crush on the actor who played Jesse Travis on Diagnosis Murder, I’ve just stuck with the name although I’ve outgrown the crush.

^ no when i first read it, i thought it was jesset fan lol

No-F-X

it’s a punk band i used to love when i was in my early teens

I’ve actually never heard of them, that’s an interesting coincidence though.

Both my pronounciation and meaning are a bit difficult so here goes:

kel-eh-bree-ahn

daughter of galadriel and celeborn in lord of the rings

You haven’t heard of NoFX? Huh…I guess I’m getting old.

Anyway, I have no real way to pronounce my name, but my most commonly used one is: You-See-El-Ari. My name is Ari.

Sure since you’re so desperate. :stuck_out_tongue:
I hope your scores were good.

Okay my name is Sarah. Looks like this in Arabic: سا ره

The Arabic nickname my parents gave me (because that is what they orginally speak) is

**sa/b **ro/b **rah/b…looks like this:
سروره

or sarorah where I attempted to write it in English.
I wonder if someone could make a user name in another language besides English. Hmm.

Anyway the other user name pronunciations here are different than how I previously read them! Like celebrian, I read your name as “sa” “leb” “ri” “un”
I’m so not a Lord of the Rings fan obviously :p

And UCLAri, I read your name as “UCLA” ri
I had no idea Ari was your actual name and the break was between the L and A!

And jessetfan, I read your name as “jesset fan”. And emswim, I read your name as “ems swim” … I know there aren’t 2 s’s I just read it that way on a whim. And NoFX…I read your name as No FX like you’re supposed to, lol, but I didn’t know that was the name of a band. I saw No FX all in asterisks on the internet somewhere, I wanted to show you but the spacing didn’t work on here.

Wow this is interesting!

Mine needs a lot of patience to pronounce. A is by itself (my first initial), then Loo-ka-she-vich (my last name; can’t blame me, I’m Polish!).
