How to raise SAT scores?

<p>Last year I took the SAT (as a sophomore) and scored well lower than I had hoped to. Is there any way to improve my scores (preferably by about 100ish points in each subsection)?</p>

<p>You ought to practice ruthlessly to get something out of the SAT and by practice I mean not the tons of test preparation books availble on the market but just the official one from collegeboard.</p>

<p>The best thing to do is to sign up for the SAT Question of the Day on collegeboard, and answer it every day. Also, like VANHALEN1884 said, you should practice a lot with the collegeboard SAT book, and also read/skim the chapters. This is advice coming from someone who raised his score from a 1740 to a 2160; it works.</p>

<p>Make sure that, when you do practice problems, you’re taking the time to go over your mistakes: that’s when the learning happens.</p>

<p>Begin by getting a copy of the BB(The Official SAT Study Guide) <---- THIS should be your only source of practice questions. NOT barons PR or w/e etc.</p>

<p>If your having problems on the Math section Gruber’s is what you should get.</p>

<p>If your Having problems on the Writing Section you can take a look at Sparknotes The Seven Deadly Screw-Ups. You can also purchase Rocket Review . I have tried both and am more fond of The Seven Deadly Screw-Ups but you can look at both.</p>
