Has anyone read both of these? Did you find any difference between the two? Which would be better preparation for an AP English course?

I’m interested in the books; did you find the answer to this question?

I would NOT recommend these books for AP English. I read it and I found it pretty much useless.

I would definitely recommend them for AP English :P

So far I’ve only read Literature but it’s an excellent book. I wouldn’t call it ground-breaking because I remember my English teachers saying a lot of similar things but if your English literature analysis education is lacking or you’re not an English type then you would probably learn a lot. Anyway, it’s a very insightful, fast-paced read and I really enjoyed it. It’s been very useful.

My understanding is that novels isn’t nearly as good as literature.
