my messages. I see the envelope at the top right, I click on it and messages come up. But some messages are fairly long and the whole message does not show up. How do I see the rest of the message? I tried a left-click on the message, that didn’t help.

That would definitely be the logical design choice…not sure why it is the way it is! 
Had the same issue. Found out if I right click and can open a new window or tab, the full message will appear.
