Hey CC, I’m a rising senior planning to apply to Brown ED. I wanted to be proactive about the college application process, so I set up my Common App account early (probably towards the beginning of junior year) and was forced to register as a “Test Applicant” because I was not a part of this past year’s class of applicants. However, as the November 1st ED deadline draws closer, I am becoming concerned that whatever I have entered onto the account may not be preserved come August when the new essay questions are released.
Does anyone know how I could modify my account to label me as a current applicant? And can I be assured that my account information that I have entered will be preserved for this coming fall’s admissions cycle?
Thank you so much!
See the linked info regarding Account Rollover.
It looks like you will be able to change to a ‘current applicant’ after August 1.
It also tells you what things may not roll-over (if the format of a section has changed, etc.)
