I got some goods today in the mail that tell me to do all of these things but they all require me to go through my EP and I don’t know my username or password.

someone in the wes '11 facebook group figured it out-- your username is your first initial and last name. your password is your initials + your wesID. this works unless you have a common name, in which case someone said you’d have to include your middle initial or add “02” at the end.

sweet wonder how they figured that one out!

EDIT: Are we supposed to sign up for classes yet or does that take place on campus on “registration day?”

Also, for some people you password would also be first initial, middle initial, WESID. That’s how it was for me!

According to electronic portfolio we have until mid July to choose our first year seminar plus one additional elective course. Those seminars and courses are posted in the huge posting in the portfolio. If you don’t get it done by mid July it becomes problematic what your choices are as the seminars will fill up. Also I think our advisors are assigned from which seminar we choose. Plus there are other forms in the portfolio that have to be completed by mid July that help them assign us an adviser. So it is critical that you read the E-portfolio now carefully. They also contain placement testing to do online.

Also watch out for the insurance letter that was just mailed. If your family has the requisite coverage you have to sign a waiver by a certain date or you will be charged for university sponsored insurance at a cost of more than $700.

Also the E-portfolio has notices of deadlines and other interesting info. It is clearly a must read to be done now.

We register for the balance of our courses when we get to school in August when we meet with our advisers.

all of the instructions for the e-portfolio are in the blue letter that came with the academic planning guide and all the other registration/pre-registration/welcome stuff.
