How to show long-term dedication to EC?

I’m a rising junior so it’s really not time for me to be worrying about things like this yet, but I was looking at the Common App and I’m a little confused on how you show long-term dedication to an EC. For example, I’ve been in my high school’s math team for 9 years (since 3rd grade), which is a little unusual - how can I communicate this when there are only boxes for grades 9-12?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, just genuinely kinda curious.

One of my kids wove a comment into an essay. The other one had a metric around an accomplishment that only made sense in a longer context; she put a bullet of explanation in the Additional Info section.

You could mention it in the short explanation space provided, like so: (grades 3-12).
