Someone brought this up in the Prep School forum and I wanted to know what you all think. My daughter took French for all of middle school and completed the French the school could offer by taking the AP exam her 10th grade year. Since then she has picked up Spanish and is currently taking Spanish 2 as a senior.

The rest of her courses are all accelerated or honors (or what have you) with the exception of this one which is the only one they teach (they do not have an honors level of languages).

Is there something special that we need to do to show her previous “mastery” of the French language, she didn’t do fantastically (she got a 3) on her exam, so I don’t think that she is reporting it.

It should show on her transcript however, right? Is that all we need to do? Or is there a spot to explain to these people who stare at applications for hundreds of hours, what’s going on?

Thanks,
