How to start the "Why X?" Essay

<p>I’ve started my Goucher EA application (trying to avoid what happened with Fordham…aka sending in two days before the deadline) and it’s, thus, my first time writing the “Why X?” essay. I know exactly what I want to talk about, but I don’t know how to begin. Should I just start with something boring such as: “There are many reasons why I believe that Goucher College is a good fit,” or try to come up with something more creative?</p>

<p>I would go for something creative.</p>

<p>Something like, “from the great business school to the hands-on experience of professors… blah blah blah” and then talk more in-depth about the topics</p>
