How to stray away from the common essay?!

How can i write about my experience as an assistant teacher in Ecuador teaching children English and saying that it influenced in my passion for international work which led me to my asspiration to become an international lawyer? I just dont want to sound like every other essay? Thanks

Practically every student who has had a study abroad experience (there’s a lot of people!) will write some variation of this. You won’t sound like every-other essay, just every fifth(?) essay.

damn that sucks  im only a sophomore in high school and never realized this. I’m so scared now! lol but thank you.

@beetryinghard Right now, your essay topic isn’t very interesting or unique. However, you’re a bit young to be worrying about stuff like this. While it’s nice to brainstorm early, things will happen in the next 2 years that will give you new essay topics (that is not to say that you should do things for the sole purpose of writing a creative essay, because this approach will very rarely work.) The way you think and view your life, your surroundings, and the world will change within the next 2 years, and those are the things that make interesting essays.
