Hey guys,
I am going to college this fall and I really want to know how I can or have to study for each science classes that are required for med schools. Like taking notes, reviewing, studying for tests, etc.
Just give me advice on how to study in science courses at a college!
Thanks
Nobody is going to provide definitive answer as how to study is an individual thing. Did you take AP bio, chem, physics in hs? How did you do? I’ll assume you did well. Same subjects in college (or if because of AP credit you’ve decided to move on to UD courses) will tend to cover more material at faster pace. Unlike hs, there will probably be fewer, if any, opportunities to do extra credit to raise grade. Generally speaking, go to class every day, stay on top of material, don’t cram for tests, read assignments (better if before class), if you’re not getting material seek help immediately. Also don’t just lock yourself into your room and study, get out and have a life. Good luck.
As I’ve said elsewhere, don’t overload yourself when you have demanding courses. If you have bio and chem (and the associated labs), don’t take two more demanding classes on top of this. You won’t have time to do justice to the courses. Especially not in your freshman year, when you are also trying to adjust to a new school and make friends. Take it slow. If you have AP credits, use them to take lighter loads during those semesters. If you don’t, raise the course load in semesters where you don’t have many demanding classes.
