How to study for the SAT

I just started a diagnostic test by Kaplan’s premier book and got really bad scroes. (CR-400, M-550, W-610). Do you guys have a methods on how to figure out what to look for on these tests?

I’ve read so many “strategies” for the SATs it’s actually ridiculous (eg Grammatix, Kaplan, Princeton, Up Your Score, the Blue Book…). In the end, I just can’t remember all of them when I’m faced with the questions. I would suggest reading some of the major strategies and then taking a practice test to apply what you learned. You’ll find yourself picking and choosing and mixing and matching the stuff you learned so that it’ll actually be useful for you.
