How to take more APs?

my school only offers AP english, calc, psych, bio, earth sci, environmental sci, physics, chem, ush.

next year i want to take AP english, College calc, AP pysch, environmental sci (or physics). i dont have space for any more cuz religion and gym are required and so is govt and econmics (but the highest level for those is honors) .
so my question is… is there anywhere i can take more APs? like online? i was considering Johns Hopkins but we just cant afford ~$1200 per course

Plenty of people self-study classes at my school. You buy or rent a textbook and study to take the AP exam at the end of the year. And if there’s a teacher who teaches a subject of the exam that you want to take, go talk to them to find out if they have any worksheets or help that they can give you.

Thats a good idea ! i dont know if any teachers who teach micro|macro economics but i might just try self studying. it would mean less sleep but oh well lol.

are the barrons books good for self study though?

I’m in macro right now and we use a combination of the McConnell Brue Economics textbook and the 5 Steps to a 5 guidebook and they seem to work pretty well together. I’ve only ever used Barron’s for French, but I think that if you can go through it and understand everything, you should be fine. If you don’t quite get something, maybe ask around to see if any of the economics teachers can help or rent a textbook to get some clarification.

thanks !
but another thing. wouldnt it be kind of pointless to self study only to take the AP exam in May AFTER the college app process is over though ?

Well, on the applications you can mention your self-study, then you can show them what you’re doing and walk in with credit for those classes.

ohhh i see ! thanks so much :)
