How to tell if a class is curved?

Is there a concrete way to tell if a class is curved or not? For example, out of these classes:
PHYS 2213 (E&M)
MATH 1920 (Multivariable)
ENGRI 1190 (Biomaterials)
CS 1112 (Matlab)
Which are curved and which just use your raw score for the final grade?

All curved.

Oh, even though matlab claims to use that “cut-off” structure?

ask the prof

It shouldn’t matter. Prof’s generally won’t let any class have lower than a B- median grade. If you do well, then you do well regardless of whether it’s curved or not.

a cut off structure is still a curve if its what I think it is…

yep, just a linear one.

The engineering common curriculum classes are pretty much all curved to a B-. ENGRIs are a bit more lenient.
