This past week, my husband and I went on vacation with his client. We paid for our own room and flight, but the client has paid for all lunches/drinks/dinner (despite my husband’s attempts to pay). Is a thank you note in order? And what should it say?
Definitely write a thank you note, and maybe send a nice gift–bottle of Champagne for the client’s holiday celebration, perhaps? The note should mention the fantastic time you all had, how much you enjoyed their company, and your appreciation of the client’s gracious generosity.
@massmomm thank you! I didn’t think about a thank you gift, but that is a great idea. One time when I was sick, the client sent me (and he didn’t know me at the time) a huge basket of goodies- he’s a generous guy so I like the idea of a gift.
