I am a “California resident” but I’m studying at a CC in NYC. I’m looking into possible four-year universities to transfer to here in NYC, but I do also want to go back to California. This is my first semester in college, I’m taking Sociology, English, and getting my requirements for this specific community college over with. Next Semester I’ll be taking Anatomy, College Algebra & Trigonometry, French, and a Nutrition class. In the summer, my college counts it as the same semester. I’ll be finishing Anatomy, which is a two class course, and taking General Psychology. My major is Psychology and I’m on a premed track.

I’m Vice President of my school’s Psychology Club. I am very involved with my school’s Woman’s Center, and I will be applying to volunteer at hospitals in the Spring.

Have any of you transferred from a community college to UC Berkeley? What are they looking for in their applicants? Is there anything I need to make sure to do to look good on my application? Any and all advice is very much appreciated.
